A homeless kitten, born with a deformed foot, didn’t waste any time racing around once he received the assistance required to walk properly.

The team at ChatonsOrphelinsMontreal was assisting a group of cats when a feral cat guided them to find five adorable kittens, including two tiny ones who were only five weeks old. One of the kittens, a black-and-white cutie, was born with a unique club foot that made his paw point downwards and inwards. Because of this, he struggled to put weight on that paw and often walked with a noticeable limp. Despite his condition, he stuck close to his tabby brother as they were rescued and brought to the veterinarian for much-needed attention and care.

The rescue group took in all five kittens, giving the one with the deformed leg the name Chabote. After receiving treatment for a cold, the vet discovered that his club foot could be fixed with a splint since he was still growing.

He continued to walk and play with his sibling without any discomfort. In just seven days, his leg showed signs of improvement, appearing straighter and allowing him to use it more efficiently.
