A feline that was discovered wandering without direction outdoors, encountered individuals who refused to abandon him. These kind-hearted souls transformed the cat’s fate.

When Radia and her mother were driving back home on a rainy day, they came across a shabby-looking cat wandering around the roadside. The poor creature seemed cold and drenched, and it was just a few feet away from their house. Radia decided to step out of the car and approach the cat while her mother hurried to bring a carrier for him. Initially, the feline was afraid and sought shelter under a nearby vehicle. But with some perseverance and tempting treats, he eventually emerged from his hiding spot, too famished to resist the food. The cat is now a proud member of their family and goes by the name Sir Lewis or Appa, as fondly called by Jen @pokeypotpie.

On a rainy day, a cat was discovered outside and was promptly taken to the vet for assessment. Fortunately, the cat ended up in the hands of Sheeta and Co, a small animal rescue in Kuwait run by Radia, her mother, and sister, Zahraa. They are dedicated volunteers who strive to aid stray animals in their community.

Love Meow reported that a feline named Appa underwent treatment for an eye infection and ear mites. Unfortunately, no microchip was found and there was no one looking for him. Appa’s fur was greasy and dusty, and he was quite restless due to having spent time on the street. Zahraa explained that pet abandonment is a rampant issue in Kuwait, and no one claimed Appa as their own.

Jen, who goes by the username @pokeypotpie, shared about how her family welcomed Appa into their home. Upon arrival, Appa appeared to be very subdued and kept his eyes closed most of the time. He also did not bother grooming himself nor did he show any enthusiasm for playing. Despite this, he allowed the family to pet him and even purred when given attention.

Jen, who goes by the username @pokeypotpie, shared that Appa appeared worn out after enduring the harsh conditions of the streets. However, they did their best to uplift his spirits by pampering him, which included giving him massages and a comb that he seemed to appreciate. As he got accustomed to feeling safe and secure, Appa began seeking love and attention from those around him.

Jen, a foster volunteer at City Kitties DC, has been working with Sheeta and Co to help rescue cats find loving homes. Appa, a feline in need of a home, was welcomed into Jen’s care along with another rescue cat named Harvey after flying across the ocean. With Harvey as his playmate, Appa’s playful side emerged and he soon became ready to find a permanent home of his own. Thanks to the partnership between Sheeta and Co and City Kitties DC, Appa is now one step closer to finding his forever family.

Alyson stumbled upon a post about Appa and fell in love with him right away. She diligently tracked his journey from Kuwait to DC, and when he became available for adoption, she didn’t hesitate to apply for him. “I woke up early on adoption day just to make sure I had my application in,” Alyson told Love Meow.

Alyson shared that she fell in love with Appa immediately upon meeting him. The feline couldn’t help but melt into her arms as she caressed him lovingly. A mere seven days later, Alyson and her partner brought Appa, now referred to as Sir Lewis, to his new abode where he promptly took over the entire living space as his own personal realm.

Sir Lewis, the feline, enjoys being in close proximity to his owners. As soon as he receives any affection, he begins purring and even stretches out on the ground to relish all the love he is receiving. He likes to snuggle up next to his humans when catching some Zs and ensures that he touches them with his paw.

When he’s not snoozing, Sir Lewis likes to indulge in some cheek scratches, chase a tennis ball as if it’s soccer, and take charge of the office by either occupying the swivel chair or sprawling over a laptop. He has even perfected the art of trapping a belly rub.

Alyson expresses her joy in witnessing the emergence of Sir Lewis’ unique personality. She describes him as an affectionate and playful little feline who enjoys chasing after his toys. However, he can also be quite insistent when it comes to his meals, as evidenced by his grumpy morning meows next to his food bowl, demanding to be fed instantly.

According to Alyson, Sir Lewis has encountered some health problems, but they are elated that they can provide him with the appropriate care and a fulfilling life. Thanks to rescuers and numerous volunteers, Sir Lewis is now happily living with his ideal family.
