During a scorching summer day, Joelalmeidaptg was strolling down the road, indulged in playing Pokémon Go when suddenly he heard a kitten meowing for help from the back of an electrical pole. Despite the heat, he rushed towards the sound and found a helpless kitten. A few months later, this feline, now named Spock, is living a happy life in a new home, all thanks to the unexpected turn of events.

While walking past an electricity pole, I heard a sound that I initially thought was a bird. However, considering the intense heat, I realized it couldn’t be a bird chirping around. Upon investigating, I discovered a kitten in distress. Its head was wedged between the top and bottom sections of the pole and it was hanging there by its head. We were unsure how it ended up in that situation, but it seemed like it had been there for quite some time as it had very little energy left to cry for help. The kitten’s mouth remained open and it was only through its cries that we realized it was still alive.

After discovering a kitty trapped in a place, I made an immediate decision to call my folks and we all agreed to help save the poor animal. The next step was to ask the firemen for assistance, and they arrived shortly after. Initially, they assumed the cat had passed away because it was eerily still and silent. However, we stood our ground and insisted that the kitty was alive. Eventually, the firemen poked the cat with a stick, and to our great relief, it cried out again!

Once the authorities arrived at the scene, they brought out a large contraption from the fire engine that applied pressure on the upper section of the electrical pole in an attempt to tilt it. It was deemed too risky to attempt to dismantle the entire structure due to the possibility of an explosion, as it was uncertain what could happen.

We established a complete boundary around the vicinity to ensure that no other vehicles could disturb us.

One of the firefighters was deeply saddened by the condition of the cat, who had remained motionless for an extended period in the sweltering heat. In a heartwarming turn of events, the firefighter attempted to give the feline some water, and to everyone’s relief, it drank it. Despite this small victory, the team was still puzzled about how to safely rescue the cat.

Then, someone came up with the brilliant idea to use the machine that was previously only used to tilt the post on the top and instead use it at the junction of the top and bottom. This small change made a huge difference, causing the post to burst open and leaving just enough space for the cat to escape. It was already nighttime when we finally managed to free the cat. The dedicated fireman stood in the sweltering heat of 40+ºC for three hours, risking their own safety to save this little creature’s life. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such compassionate and brave individuals on hand to help. It’s possible that other people may not have been willing to take on such a risky rescue mission, leaving the poor cat to die.
