JULIAN ALVAREZ has rocked Manchester City by asking to leave this summer, according to reports.
Alvarez, 24, helped the club win the Treble two seasons ago before also helping them to land the Premier League last season.

However, the formerRiver Plateace has now reportedly told the club he wants out.
According toEl Chiringuito, the Argentine forward rejected a new contract with the club at the end of last season.
That deal would have seen him agree new and improved terms with a one-year extension from his existing deal that would take him up to 2028.
And he has demanded the English champions to set a “logical” asking price for would-by buyers.
Alvarez signed for the club back in January 2022, but saw out the season at his club inArgentina.
While there he landed the South American Player of the Year award in 2021.
His two seasons atMan Cityhave seen him score 36 goals and add 18 assists in 103 games.
Many of his games have come off the bench or as playing a supporting role to talismanErling Haaland.
When celebrating his 24th birthday,Pep Guardiolasaid of Alvarez: “Julian is amazing so he’s an extraordinary player and many things help us.
“Really good, so very pleased for his birthday, not just for the goals, the many things he does.”
Previous reports inSpainlast month suggested Man City had already rejected an approach fromAtletico Madridfor Alvarez.
The report from Marca added that part of the reason behind Alvarez wanting to move was due to his understanding that he would always be behind Haaland in the pecking order at the Etihad.
