When Flora, an abandoned baby cat, was brought to CatRescue 901 volunteers, she was so tiny that her palm could only fill half of a human’s hand. Unfortunately, she was unable to survive without her mother’s milk, causing her to wilt. Thankfully, Katerina, a dedicated foster care volunteer, took it upon herself to provide Flora with the necessary warmth and comfort she needed. Even after receiving thorough care throughout the night, the newborn weighed a mere 72 grams and was very close to passing away. Katerina did her best to keep the newborn alive until they could take her to the vet in the morning.

A tiny tabby kitten’s life was in jeopardy, but her foster mom was committed to saving her. She stayed awake all night and made sure to follow all the medical instructions given to her. Thanks to her efforts, the little feline is now on the road to recovery. “Flora’s recovery is all thanks to her foster mom’s dedication,” says Jenny Storaker, co-director of CatRescue 901. Despite being a week old, the kitten was much smaller than other newborns.

Sabrina, a cat who was also rescued, came to cuddle and nap with the new cat. After feeding, Sabrina held and groomed the new cat, Flora. Jenny, one of the rescuers, notes that Sabrina’s affection was beneficial for Flora’s survival and development as it provided her with a motherly feeling. Although Flora was initially small and underweight for her age, she gradually gained weight, which eased Katerina’s worries about her health.

As time passed, Flora continued to build her strength, but her growth and development were still slightly behind. Nonetheless, by the time she reached six weeks old, she had achieved all the significant milestones. Her remarkable progress was apparent in her playful and curious attitude, which highlighted her newfound energy and vibrant personality.

Katerina feels extremely relieved that her cat recovered from calicivirus and she realized how resilient and sturdy her pet was. However, even after the recovery, Katerina observed that her cat was a little different from other foster kittens, which made it challenging to find the perfect family for her.

Flora has surely surpassed the age of her beloved teddy bear that she has held dear for years. During her stay in foster care, she discovered an appreciation for affection and warmth. Recently, CatRescue 901 volunteers rescued two young kittens, Reuben and Finn, who were in poor health after being found on the street. Unfortunately, both kittens developed a severe eye infection, resulting in one eye being removed.

Jenny shared that the group of kittens were initially unhappy and hissing, but with the help of their guardians’ patience and care, they transformed into adorable purring creatures. Among them, Finn easily found a loving home, but Reuben who had lost an eye due to surgery needed a companion. Hence, the decision was made to unite him with Flora.

As soon as the young ones became familiar with each other’s scent, they hit it off immediately and formed a strong bond. Flora, despite having a medical cone on after being sterilized, still managed to embrace her foster brother as they longed for affection.

The two furry friends were inseparable, always by each other’s side, grooming and snuggling contentedly. Their friendship flourished quickly due to spending so much time together. However, when the rescuers tried to find their respective owners, they discovered that the pair couldn’t be separated.

After a series of events, Flora and Reuben, who are now called Dylan and Elroy, have found their forever home with a wonderful family. Charlie, their new mom, was smitten with the kittens and touched by their strong bond with each other. Fortunately, they will no longer have to worry about being separated because they are now officially adopted by the same family. A happy ending indeed!

Elroy is a loyal sidekick to his sister and loves trailing her throughout their abode. Meanwhile, Dylan’s sibling with one eye swiftly dashes over to join the group as they lounge by the window, taking in the sights of the passing day.

After their rescue, the two kittens have come a long way in life. Despite their difficult upbringing, they have managed to thrive with the help and support of caring individuals. Jenny comments on their remarkable progress and expresses her joy at seeing them living happily.

Cute and lovable companions have undergone a complete transformation to become extravagant cats and kittens. They happily greet each day with a smile, proud of their privileged status as pets. One particular feline, who was rescued from the streets, has found a new home at a shelter, where she has formed an unbreakable bond with a fellow one-eyed companion.
