The saying “the eyes are the window of the soul” holds true in the case of Hadley, a rescued dog whose eyes told a tale of unfortunate circumstances. Her savior, a kind-hearted woman, stumbled upon Hadley on the streets and was heartbroken at the sight of her condition.
The lady noticed the dog’s feeble state and realized that it was unable to turn its head. Sensing the urgency, she reached out to Stray Rescue St. Louis rescuers without any delay. The sight of the weak dog left the rescuers stunned, even though they had dealt with many stray animals before. One of the rescuers expressed sorrow, saying, “We can’t be certain of what happened, but I’m sure she’s been through a lot.”
Hadley was taken to the veterinarian by her rescuers who were deeply concerned for her well-being. The little canine was in a very serious condition, which was quite evident from her exhausted appearance. They named her Hadley and took her to the vet with great care. She looked at every person who passed by her, pleading for help with her big, innocent eyes. One of the rescuers expressed their sorrow, saying that “This little dog has broken our hearts. Even the slightest movement requires an enormous effort on her part.”
The rescuers were amazed at the severity of Hadley’s condition when they saved her. They pondered over how she had managed to survive in such a perilous environment for so long. However, they were grateful that Hadley was rescued in time and is now under their care. The vets and rescuers worked tirelessly to save her life. “This little angel requires our prayers. She’s unable to stand up and was close to dying of starvation. Fortunately, we found her just in time,” a Stray Rescue representative said.
Good news! Hadley, the animal in question, has been rescued and is currently receiving medical attention from the veterinarian. The veterinarians have started providing her with small, consistent amounts of food to aid in her recovery. It’s assumed that Hadley had been starving for weeks, if not months, so they need to be extremely cautious in reintroducing her to eating.
After taking a break, the dog began to eat again in small portions. Due to her delicate state, it was crucial to avoid overfeeding Hadley as it could be hazardous. The pup required constant surveillance, which prompted a veterinarian to take charge of her care. “Hadley is such a beauty. We are saddened by what she had to go through. Her expression of agony speaks volumes,” expressed an official from Stray Rescue.
After a few weeks, Hadley’s condition began to improve, thanks to her new caretaker Emily. Emily dedicated a couple of days solely to Hadley and the results were remarkable. Although the road to recovery won’t be easy, the sweet little dog has made progress. It’s truly a miracle that Hadley survived given her pitiful health condition. Unfortunately, we will never know the full extent of her past hardships. It’s disheartening to think that someone could abandon an animal in such a state.
