Alarmed, she quickly put on her boots and rushed to her husband to investigate. Upon entering the coop, they were horrified to discover an unwanted guest – an intruder. Their initial thoughts were that it could have been a snake or baby chicks, but to their amazement, they found six adorable little kittens instead.

Hervath and her partner were taken aback when they stumbled upon a litter of kittens in one of their coop’s nesting boxes. The sudden discovery left them puzzled, especially since they had never witnessed any pregnant felines on their property before. The commotion caused by the newborns further complicated matters, with the intended occupants of the coop growing agitated and vocal. In an attempt to examine the tiny creatures more closely, Hervath and her spouse lifted the lid of the nesting box. However, the kittens were not too thrilled about the intrusion and made it clear that they preferred to be left alone. Despite the little ones’ unease, their mother was attentive and nurturing.

When Horvath stumbled upon a group of plump-bellied kittens with damp noses, he knew that their mother was likely nearby. Wanting to make sure they were fed and hydrated, Horvath provided them with food and water and kept an eye on them, hopeful that their mother would return. After some time had passed, the mother cat finally arrived, putting Horvath’s worries to rest. The kittens spent the next few days growing up alongside Horvath’s chickens in the coop, under the watchful eye of their mother. As they got bigger, the curious kittens started to explore their surroundings and interact with their new chicken roommates.

Horvath shared a humorous tale about some nosy and noisy baby cats that ventured out of their shelter and trailed three chickens in the open. The Horvath household observed these little felines develop in their lawn, only to find out later that their mother had a different agenda for them. The mother cat returned to relocate her offspring, one by one, beyond the fence of their yard, until she transferred all of them to a different spot, leaving the family yearning for their delightful small guests.

Horvath’s chicken coop has been eerily quiet since the kitten family departed. Though she misses their playful energy, she imagines them exploring the world with curiosity and excitement. Should they return to the coop, both Horvath and her chickens would be overjoyed to welcome them back with open arms.
