Meet Dolly, the brave dog who showed exceptional care to puppies that were not hers. Even though the puppies came from different litters, Dolly selflessly took care of them. Mitzi Brogdon, the president as well as director of Street Dog Rescue Recovery, came across Dolly on the side of the road and noticed how she was signaling for help with a pleading look.
He had an urge to help her, so he parked nearby and went towards the dog whom he lovingly called Dolly. As soon as he approached her, Mitzi said that she rushed over to him seeking affection. But he understood that she needed more than just cuddles. Brogdon recalled, “She started walking towards the cell tower, and I followed her. That’s when I spotted a group of puppies coming out from behind a fallen log.” And gradually, 16 little pups started showing up from their hiding spot.
The rescuer, who had ample experience in saving dogs, was surprised at the overwhelming number of canines she stumbled upon. She was used to seeing them scattered across Oklahoma, but the sight of so many at once left her at a loss for words. Upon closer inspection, Mitzi discovered that the puppies belonged to three distinct litters and that Dolly, the courageous mother, was tending to pups that weren’t even hers. According to The Dodo, Dolly had been sheltering them, keeping them from harm’s way and defending them against external threats.
Brogdon sought out help to find shelter for their family of 17 people, and with the assistance they received, they were placed in four different shelters. They are being taken care of well, but they’re eagerly waiting to complete their vaccination program before moving to a permanent home. While the younger members of the family are getting attention, Mitzi is worried about Dolly, an older girl who deserves a loving family too. Brogdon encourages anyone considering adoption to think about Dolly as well.
One regular day, a woman was walking her dog when she stumbled upon an adoption event. To her surprise, she saw a dog that looked just like her beloved pet, Rogue.
As they approached, she was surprised to see a lovable mutt available for adoption named Beast who looked remarkably similar to her own furry friend. To make it even more interesting, her pet Rogue seemed unusually interested in Beast. Could it be that they were siblings separated at birth?
At first, Bethany had doubts about getting a new dog, even though her boyfriend was eager to adopt a new furry pet. Nevertheless, she eventually fell for the cute and charming “twin” that won her heart over.
Bethany revealed to Bored Panda that her choice to save Beast was swayed by his similarity to her other furry friend, Rogue. Even though they are both Cairn Terrier mixes, Rogue’s parents were a blend of Labrador Retriever and Pit Bull along with Cairn Terrier, while the exact mix of Beast’s breed is still unknown.
At first, Beast tried to assert his authority over the other dogs in his new group, but after about a month, he calmed down. Since the family lives in Hawaii, the two dogs can hang out together, have fun at the beach, and enjoy the laid-back island life.
It’s impossible to foresee the moment when you’ll stumble upon a dog that resembles your own furry friend. Let’s send positive vibes to the family in this anecdote and spread the love by sharing with those closest to us.
